Budget, Revenue, and Policy Analyst
Miranda Jones Cox specializes in various policy areas within the office including infrastructure and bonding, higher education, transportation, technology and agency regulation. She serves as staff to the Governor's Executive Water Finance Board and as the finance director to the Public Lands Policy Coordination Office.
Miranda received a dual degree in economics and political science from Southern Utah University, where she also served as a student intern coordinator for several years in the Michael O. Leavitt Center for Politics and Public Service. Miranda completed multiple internships at the local, state and federal level, including internships for Senator Orrin Hatch, Congressman Chris Stewart and Utah State Senator Stuart Adams.
She is currently pursuing her Master of Public Policy at the University of Utah. Miranda previously taught English as a second language in Ukraine and Mexico.
As a Southern Utah native, Miranda loves to spend time in the red rocks of Parowan, Utah, her hometown. She enjoys hiking, painting, reading, and any time spent with friends, family, and husband, Tanner.
