Financial Operations Specialist
Ken Matthews is an experienced budget and policy analyst with nearly seven years of service in governor's budget offices in both Arizona and Utah. Currently, his primary duties include budget analysis for the state's natural resource and criminal justice agencies, as well as managing the state's federal funds approval process. He also serves as the primary policy analyst for the state's Department of Environmental Quality and the Department of Heritage and Arts.
Other assigned duties include service as a voting trustee for the Utah Navajo Trust Fund, an appointed seat on the state's Federal Funds Commission and serving as the technology services billing manager for GOMB.
Ken graduated with honors from Brigham Young University in 2007 with a B.A. in political science. He then went on to do graduate work at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University, graduating in 2009 with an M.P.A. emphasizing both public budgeting and environmental policy. He currently lives in Holladay, Utah with his wife Abbie and son Kenny.
