Jacob is the senior analyst for K-12 and postsecondary education budget and policy issues. He received a master's degree in public administration and a bachelor's degree in geographic information systems (GIS) with a secondary major in Russian from Brigham Young University. Prior to joining the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget team, he gained professional experience as an assistant director of financial aid at Utah Valley University, as an intern in the Utah Legislature's Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel, and as a GIS administrator for Garkane Energy Cooperative.
